Daily Gratitudes: Day 19 of 21

Before I left the office today, one of my team members brought me some Mumbai street food that his wife had made specially for me. They are leaving for India on holiday on Thursday and they wanted to gift me with something special. The dish is made from cauliflower, onion, carrots and peas. It’s all mushed up so doesn’t look like much. She included a soft bread roll and I was told to dip the bread into the dish. Well, it is absolutely delicious! I love spicy food and it has just the right amount of heat. I feel so loved, I cannot express how grateful I am feeling right now.

My husband returned from his six monthly check up with his oncologist today. He has been fine for two years now. I am grateful for his good news.

Last week I received a huge fright! The medical aid had rejected a claim for my husband’s hearing aid devices which cost R36,000! After a frantic call to their help desk, I was told that the specialist had failed to submit the motivation and that they would review the claim if these documents were sent to them in time. Today I received a mail to say that the request had been approved and the claim will be reprocessed. I can not describe the relief that I felt! I am so very grateful that they agreed to review the claim.

That’s it for today.

Until next time ☕️
